A practical layout first
Consider movement, storage, access to fittings and everyday cleaning. A walk-in shower, basin, toilet or furniture must fit both the available space and the technical constraints.
Prepare the surfaces and connections
The condition of walls and floors, waterproofing arrangements and water connections must be considered before finishes are installed. Moving fittings may affect the scope beyond their visible position.
Choose finishes for their use
Compare floor and wall tiles, tap fittings and furniture for suitability, maintenance and the way the room is used. Clarify what is supplied and installed in the quotation.
Can a bath be replaced with a shower?
The feasibility depends on the layout and existing drainage, water connections and surfaces. These need to be checked before a design is agreed.
Will the bathroom remain usable?
Some stages make the room unavailable. Discuss arrangements and the sequence before work begins.
